1st day Thursday * arrival
Participants will be welcome at the Hotel according to the time flight arrivals. Check in at the Holiday Inn Express at Via Assisi, 53 (METRO: Furio Camillo) with our team leader. Free time in the evening. Overnight stay.
2nd day Friday * guided tour: Museum under the sky (18 km, type easy)
Meet our guide at 9.00 am at the Hotel, and set your bicycle with the help of our technician. Departure at 9.30 from the Hotel with your Brompton Bike. The tour will include stops at PORTA MAGGIORE (aqueducts,aurelian wall, tomb of Eurysaces), MAGIC GATE, TROPHIES OF MARIUS, ARC OF GALLIENO, BATHS OF TRAJAN, COLOSSEUM, THE ARC OF CONSTANTINE, TEMPLE TO VENUS AND ROME, TRAJAN FORUM, THE TREVI FOUNTAIN, PIAZZA DI SPAGNA, PIAZZA DEL POPOLO, ARA PACIS, MAUSOLEUM OF AUGUSTUS, PIAZZA NAVONA, CAMPO DE' FIORI. Quick stop for a refreshment. Then you'll carry on with the guided visit of PANTHEON, LARGO ARGENTINA, TOR MARGANA and LUDUS MAGNUS. The tour will end at the Hotel approximately at 2 pm. You'll return your bike. Lunch stop at typical Italian restaurant (included in the price). Free time in the afternoon. Overnight stay (dinner not included).
3rd day Saturday * guided afternoon tour: 1, 10, 100 towns (18 km, type easy)
Free time in the morning (lunch not included). Meet our guide at the Hotel at 3.00 pm, you'll set your bicycle and get ready for departure at 3.30 pm. The afternoon guided tour will include OPPIAN HILL, COELIAN HILL, ARCH OF DOLABELLA AND SILANO, CLIVUS SCAURI, ARCH OF JANUS (Mounth of Truth), FORUM BOARIUM AND FORUM OLITORIUM (Temple of Hercules Victor and Temple of Portunus), CAPITOL HILL, PIAZZA MATTEI (the Tortoise Foutain), ROMAN JEWS. Quick stop for a refreshment. Back on your saddle you will continue the tour with the visit of TIBER ISLAND (the Church of San Bartolomeo Apostolo) PIAZZA SANTA MARIA IN TRASTEVERE, PIAZZA DI SANTA CECILIA, AVENTINE HILL (garden of the orange trees), CIRCUS MAXIMUS, THE BATHS OF CARACALLA (the Church of Santi Nereo and Achilleo), PORTA METRONIA (parc of aurelian wall) PORTA SAN GIOVANNI, PIAZZA DI SANTA CROCE IN GERUSALEMME. The tour will end at about at 7.30 pm, you'll be brought back to the Hotel and return the bicycle. Meet at 8.30 pm with our team leader. Dinner (included in a near by restaurant ) and overnight.
4th day Sunday * The city green and blue: parks, acqueducts and baths( 20 km, type easy) departure
Meet our guide at the Hotel at 9.00 am, you'll set your bicycle and get ready for departure at 9.30 am for the Sunday tour. The guided tour will include AURELIAN WALL, PORTA SAN SEBASTIANO (ARCH OF DRUSO), THE ANCIENT APPIAN WAY, DOMINE QUO VADIS, TUMB OF CECILIA METELLA, NYMPHEUM OF THE VILLA DEI QUINTILI, PARK OF AQUEDUCTI. Stop for a pick-nic . The visit will continue on the TOR FISCALE, AQUEDUCT OF MANDRIONE The tour will end around 3 pm, you will be brought back to the Hotel, and return the bicycle. End of services.
